Hi! My name is Izzy and I am in eleventh grade. I have taken two years of journalism and I am an editor for the Dukes Dispatch online newspaper. After high school, I will be going to the University of North Carolina to get my bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology. After attending UNC, I will attend a four-year college to get my law degree. I signed up for journalism to complete my CTE credit to graduate with my advanced diploma but I genuinely enjoy writing and reporting. I hope to bring passion and creativity to the paper and encourage people to keep themselves informed on local and national news. When not at school or working, I enjoy reading, sitting in the sun, and volunteering with animals.
