My name is Zoey Velez. I am a freshman at Gloucester High School and a journalism staff member! When I graduate, I´d like to go to college. I´ve always loved anything and everything art, my 6th grade art teacher inspired me to be an art teacher. I was born in Orlando, Florida and bounced from there to Missouri right into Gloucester County. This is my first time joining Journalism and my second semester. I feel like it’s a fun class to take to expand my vocabulary and how I write. While it wasn’t my first pick, in 8th grade I took Yearbook, and it was just so fun. I assumed it had to be somewhat similar, just less picture-taking. I hope to bring life and energy to the paper. Outside of journalism and school, I enjoy cheering, art, and sleeping in. I am currently in Jv Basketball cheer and loving it.
