“Stranger Things,” written by the Duffer brothers, is a Netflix original that has scored a 91% on Rotten tomatoes. There are a total of four seasons so far, with season five coming out sometime this year. After season five that will be it for Stranger Things.
Season one came out on July 15, 2016 with a total of eight episodes. It’s in Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980’s. A group of kids obsessed with a game called dungeons and dragons and the game is actually real. One kid out of the friend group goes missing one night. Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp goes missing and is taken upside down. When the kids try finding their missing friend other mysteries are unfolded.
Season two came out on October 27, 2017 with a total of nine episodes. New characters are introduced and many new mysteries. Will Byers has been found but has a connection to the upside down. New monsters like the mind flayer and the demo-gorgon are introduced. There are also some new hidden things in the Hawkins lab.
Season three came out on July 4, 2019 with a total of eight episodes. This season is set in the summer and the kids aren’t in school. People are going missing and then become possessed by the physical form of the mind flayer. The first person possessed was Billy Hargrove, played by Dacre Montgomery. The Russians are also the bad guys in this season because they are trying to reopen the gate to the upside down.
Season four came out on May 27, 2022 and they released seven episodes and then dropped the last two on July 1, 2022, which was considered volume one and two. Season four was way more violent than the other seasons. New characters are introduced and the new monster, Vecna. Secrets are told of what actually happened in Hawkins lab. There are multiple fights and they ended the season on a cliffhanger.
Stranger Things has multiple likes and reviews. This show has made a lot of money and the actors have basically grown up together. Although it will be really sad when the show ends, it’s rumored that the new season will come out in October of 2025. There will be volumes one and two once again.
