Marijuana: For Underage Users The Cons Outweigh The Pros
March 21, 2022
While you shouldn’t smoke marijuana while underaged, you should know the dangers of it and how it can help. While marijuana can be beneficial, it can also be extremely harmful to your system. You can become dependent on it, and it can ruin your life, but at the same time, it can treat illnesses and help mental issues. There is a big difference between medical marijuana and recreational marijuana. Recreational marijuana contains more THC content than medical CBD.
Medical marijuana can help treat many illnesses and disorders. It can help relieve pain like muscle pains and chronic pains. It can also help feelings of sickness by getting rid of nausea, headaches, and congestion, it also helps appetite issues or eating disorders. It also can help mental disorders like Anxiety, Depression, mood disorders, and Schizophrenia. It can treat Alzheimer’s disease, Epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, and even Cancer. Medical marijuana can help improve many people’s lives.
Even though there are many good effects of marijuana, there are still many harmful effects. Frequent marijuana use can cause memory loss, especially short term memory. It can harm your cognitive abilities (thinking abilities), which can cause issues with getting a reliable job or interfere with school. Like most things you smoke it can cause severe lung damage, and can also increase your chances of getting lung cancer. Of course it is obvious that it has a potential risk for addiction/abuse. Marijuana can prevent brain growth in minors, preventing their brain from developing fully and causing issues in their everyday life.
It is illegal for underage people to use of marijuana, and I do not encourage the use of it. The importance of this article is that while marijuana may make improvements and make you feel euphoric, it can also cause extreme harm in your life. I do not recommend using recreational marijuana but use medical marijuana only if prescribed.
