Review of Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream

Gian Valentin-Fontanez, 1st Semester Staff

I don´t know about you guys but I was absolutely devastated when I heard that the local ice cream shop, Beans Ice cream, was closing. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard that Coastal Kitchen was expanding and opening a Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream shop featuring Hershey’s ice cream! And I can say with full confidence that it’s worth the excitement. Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream has 12 flavors ranging from vanilla to cotton candy and they are bound to have your favorites with them carrying the classics such as rocky road, strawberry, cookies & cream, and peanut butter cup. Not only do they sell ice cream but they also carry fudge, cake, brownies, cookies, milkshakes, and other delicious sweets, all at an affordable price with their ice cream starting at $3.

As a fan of peanut butter ice cream, I had to try the peanut butter cup and peanut butter chocolate brownie flavors. Both of them were filled with real peanut butter and they were absolutely delicious. I would urge everyone to try a bit of this ice cream themselves and forge their own opinions, which I’m sure will be favorable.

Coastal Kitchen Ice Cream is prepared with their very own Hershey’s soft serve machine made with gluten-free ingredients. Browse their wide selection of cute DIY decorations that consists of candles, washing cloths, signs, reefs, and table cloths all in the lovely style of the east coast we all know and love. Coastal Kitchen Ice cream is the perfect place for when your sweet tooth is aching and you’re in the Gloucester area, with their approachable staff and their homey environment, you’ll truly feel like your back at your grandma’s getting spoiled with an assortment of tasty ice cream.
